Can this test be used at home?

No. It is a professional in vitro diagnostic device for trained healthcare personnel.

Which specimen type is recommended?

Both fingerstick and venipuncture whole blood are acceptable; fingerstick blood should be tested immediately, and venipuncture blood can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 2 days (long-term storage below -20°C).

What does a faint test line mean?

Any visible shade of color in the Test line (T for P.f. or P.v.) indicates a positive result, as intensity varies with antigen concentration.

How should frozen specimens be handled?

Thaw completely, mix well, and bring to room temperature before testing. Do not freeze and thaw more than 3 times.

What should I do if the control line does not appear?

The result is invalid. Review the procedure (check specimen volume, buffer addition, and test device expiration) and repeat with a new test. If the problem persists, discontinue using the kit and contact the local distributor.
